Acolytes are youth who serve helping the priest at the altar during Holy Eucharist.
Your part of the service is a very important part of our worship in the Episcopal tradition:
• To the people of St. Paul’s.
• To the celebrant (usually Father Birch).
• To Our Lord, whom we worship.
Remembering this will help you serve with appropriate reverence and help the
congregation know how they are to participate in the service.
Youth in middle and high school are welcome to participate. It’s a great way to participate in the life of the parish – and really, it’s easier than it looks.
