Community Outreach

NEW! On Feb. 2, St. Paul’s began offering we began serving lunch free of charge to all comers every Thursday from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm.

While the Christian Aid Center provides a minimal breakfast and supper, lunch is harder to find.  The Vineyard Free Methodist Church and Pioneer UMC between them are able to provide lunch on three days a week.  Our every Thursday lunches will make the fourth. The lunch is open to all, whatever your means.  To find out how to help please contact Pat Jones at patjones5@charter.net.

The outreach committee has been busy this year. They have helped on a Habitat for Humanity build in Walla Walla, donated over 60 backpacks for Stack-O-Pack for Sharpstein Elementary and participated in several projects beyond Walla Walla.

Additionally, here are a few of our regular projects around the Walla Walla Valley.

•           Provide food, funds and volunteer support to our local Pantry Shelf

•           Sponsor Coats for Kids (and provide space to store and distribution of coats)

•           Raise funds for the Christian Aid Center

•           Provide a monthly dinner and worship service at the Christian Aid Center

•           Raise funds and provide volunteer support for Helpline

•           Host and help fund the Dental Van, which provides free dental care

•           Provide meeting and classroom space to the Blue Mountain Action Council

•           Host AA, Al-Anon and Mental Illness support meetings

•           Sponsor a Cub Scout Pack

•           Contribute to Betty’s Basket

If you are interested in hearing more about any of these ministries, take a look at the information table in the atrium or just ask us about them!
